We are a group of dedicated yogis, mommies, daddies, climbers, bikers, hikers, paddlers, and all around nature-worshippers who believe that our practice is a lifelong connection enhancing every aspect of our existence, bringing breath and freedom to all we do. With this inspiration for yoga and all its gifts, we created Good Tiger Yoga so that we may share our practice and journey with you.
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Sarah was a professional dancer before she discovered yoga in 1999. Like so many ex-dancers, she found yoga while looking for a way to stay connected to movement and compliment her outdoor pursuits. Quickly she became addicted to Bikram yoga, but soon felt like she needed more. Sarah rediscovered yoga through her friend and teachers Kristin Tone and Bridget Evans. This time the connection to yoga and her spiritual practice was much deeper, taking her on a journey she never thought possible.
Sarah is the Founder and Managing Editor of www.GoodTigerYoga.com, a digital strategy consultant, and received her 200 YTT certification with Tiffany Cruikshank in Portland, Oregon. Sarah teaches stand up paddle (SUP) boarding and SUP yoga on the Deschutes River in Bend Oregon and on GTY yoga retreats.
Clair Clarke is originally from Southern California, but after 30 years in Bend, Oregon it’s easily home. She grew up in the salon business, and eventually became a stylist herself––currently owning her own salon in The Old Mill District. Clair is a lifetime fitness enthusiast and had always dabbled in yoga, but it really took hold in her life after she experienced a number of sports injuries, and yoga quickly became the answer for rehabilitation. Clair traveled to a couple of retreats and experienced how transformative it could be both in the moment and long after the retreat was over.
In 2011, she began her yoga teacher journey and received her 200 RYT with a local Bend studio, and later went on to working toward her 500 RYT with Yoga Medicine and Tiffany Cruikshank. Clair and Sarah became great friends through yoga, and decided to work together to bring a yoga, adventure and an amazing travel and culinary experience to others. It is her humble pleasure to assist in transforming lives and helping to create a unique and special yoga adventure experience.
